Laurie Green's SFR novel OUTER PLANETS has just won 1st place in the Lilac City Rochester Writers 1st & 10 contest, making her our first recipient of The Buffy! (Awarded to Brigade members who place first in any contest.)Also worthy of note: Her entry received all perfect scores from both first-round and second-round judges. AND this was a general fiction contest with no categories, so she was up against all genres.
Nicely done, Laurie! As the founding member of SFR Brigade, it seems only fitting.

ReplyDeleteArlene knows the backstory on this one. My Mom was an avid reader. She passed away two years ago, and this is the only SFR novel of mine she ever read...and she adored it! I pulled it out of mothballs in her memory. *sniff* Thanks, Mom!
