Is this layout better or worse?
A quick thumbs up or down, with suggestions if you have any.

Is it my imagination or did I change the background? I thought I'd left it alone, but I'm not sure if the new layout design didn't erase an image we had back there.
ReplyDelete*is old and senile*
I think I'm going to move the followers down, but I like the tabs up top and the list of members off to one side.
-Liana
I like it better! With all the info on this blog your idea of tabs will work! One suggestion-- I'd place the members list at the top of page and the followers under that. It would look better to me. It looks too busy for followers to be at the very top. And I think blog members are more important, maybe? Hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteOkay-- and maybe on the right side, 'About SFR' should be on top and FAQ under that then blog archive. I don't know-- seems maybe we should let others know what we are about first, etc.
ReplyDeleteLOL, you asked... mine are just suggestions from my own pov.
ReplyDeletefyi- background looks fine to me.
ReplyDeleteOh, and beam me to the website-- close to the top. What do you think? (lol, sorry)
Very nice. The only suggestion would be to move the archives below the other informtion on the righthand side.
ReplyDeleteOH! And also, maybe put the About, Website Link, FAQs, and Shore Leave into post links at the top header.
ReplyDeleteDid I get them all?
ReplyDeleteWhen I suggested the 3-column format, I switched my own blog so that the most important stuff could be nearer the top.
ReplyDeleteWhen I did that (change layout), my background didn't change.
I like it!
It looks fantastic now, Liana! It's much easier to nav now.
ReplyDeleteMuch cleaner!
ReplyDeleteThumbs up.
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me!
ReplyDeleteDefinite improvement!
ReplyDeleteYup, that's the same background.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should move the "Follow" box up so potential subscribers see it?
Oops, just realized that's the exact opposite of what Kaye said, so it may have already been changed once. Maybe it should switch to the other side under Beam Me to the Web Site.
I like the columns - thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!
ReplyDeleteIt does look great - clean. Easy. Thank you very much for all of the hard work.
ReplyDeleteAh, yes. I like that change. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteI have a suggestion. What would you all think about reducing the number of posts on the main page and moving the Bases of Operation (BoO) back to the bottom so they have a wider box and are more readable?
ReplyDeleteThat should fix the problem of them being lost wayyyyyy down at the distant bottom of the page. Thoughts?
Hmm, actually BoO could also be swapped out with a few items on the oppositive sidebar, because it's wider. I think that would also work as far as readability.
ReplyDeleteOK, we're getting more and more blogs added to the BoO, so I'm going to jump in here and move it over to the opposite sidebar. Then I'll move a few other items back to even them up.
ReplyDeleteIt's easy to change back if anyone thinks it's not an improvement.
