NEW RELEASES
Carina Press has just released K.S.Augustin’s IN ENEMY HANDS, on June 7th 2010.
Joely Sue Burkhart’s THE BLOODGATE GUARDIAN, a paranormal thriller with romantic elements, is available from Carina Press on June 14th, 2010.
Jodi Redford’s book, LIGHT MY FIRE, is due for release on June 29th.
BLOGGING
Brigader Hywela Lyn interviewed Rebecca Savage, multi-published author of contemporary romantic suspense over on her blog (May 26th). It’s always interesting to read about the writing process of other authors. Great interview, Hywela.
This past week Kay Manro has visited on Romancing the Pen with an "How I Write SFR" article. (not a blog and no commenting) It's hosted by Angela Kaye Austin who also featured FORBIDDEN LOVE on her blog so those who wish to do so can comment.
*On Monday May 31, she blogged with Helen Hardt.
*Tuesday June 1, she talked with Amber Skyze.
*Thursday June 3, another blog with Lisa Liebow (talking about how life situations help develop characters)
*and Friday June 4, Kay's with Shelley Munro where she'll talk about world building.

Jay Di Meo has had a novel (working title – THE FALCON & THE JACKAL) and novella (working title – BINDING SPELL) accepted for publication by Cobblestone Press.
Kim Knox has just sold her novel GAMBIT to Carina Press.
SFRB BOOK LAUNCH & POSTINGS
SFRB has a book launch party for Katherine Allred's CLOSE CONTACT on Tuesday, 8th June, and she's planning to give away both books in her Alien Affairs series to a random commenter. CLOSE CONTACT was a Top Pick on RT Book Reviews with their top score of 4-1/2 stars. Don't miss this!
Sharon Lynn Fisher is posting here about the SF Signal Mind Meld feature where invited participants are asked to respond to questions regarding what romance brings to science fiction. Laurie Green may also make an appearance there. So keep your eyes peeled for this event, folks!

The Rainbow Romance Writers, the first and only LGBT chapter of Romance Writers of America, is proud to announce the first annual Rainbow Awards of Excellence contest (RAES) for published authors.
This contest, sponsored by RRW, will recognize the best in published LGBT romance. The contest is open to all authors published in novel or novella length romantic fiction during the 2009 publishing year as long as the story in question has an LGBT romance as its focus and fits within one of our seven categories.
The contest categories are:
- Contemporary
- Paranormal
- Romantic Suspense
- Historical
- Sci-fi/Fantasy
- YA
- short/novella (10,000-20,000 words)
