Tuesday Blog Tour

I haz romance. And guns.... who doesn't like guns? Trip on over to Kanaxa's blog and you'll stumble down the rabbit hole to Nat's Hiding Place. Steampunk, cursed Romans, and a very promising title from Samhain Publishing: METAL REIGN.

Wait.... there are boys here?
Bart Palamaro runs Blog Schmog: Bart's Random Thoughts and has an insightful look at the Sci-Fi Military Paradigm. Why do we all write like a spaceship is an extraorbital submersible? Well, Bart has the answer. P.S. Bart isn't the only male lounging with the ladies. Every body play nice and see if we can't get the gentlemen to come out and comment.

We Could Be Heroes...... Sheryl Nantus asked the intriguing question: Why do we want to be superheroes? And what would happen if you could be one. My question is, what super hero would you be? Personally, I always thought Rogue was kind of cool, she could steal everyone else's powers. She should have been a villian, that way she could have had the boys, and a trail of dead bodies. Oh, er, Happily Ever After. Right... maybe she could just have Wolverine than?

Red Alert!!! The talented Aubrie Dionne has some questions to ask of the SFR Brigade about queries. Run on over to her blog, Flutey Words, and see if you can't give her some advice. All I can offer, Aubrie, is that if the story is great it will find a home. :o)

That's all for today's tour. Join us next week as we invade fellow Brigadiers' bases of operation looking for entertainment and education!

Check Your Links

Brigadiers! Everyone on deck!

We're getting ready to do the Tuesday Blog Tour, where we select several fabulous posts from SFR Brigade members in the past week and post, and we need you to double check the links.

Go find your name on the right hand column under Brigade Members, click your name, and see if the link takes you to your blog. If the link is broken, please report in the comments section. Make sure you include your blog address so we can fix the link.

The Tuesday Blog tour is a great way to generate traffic to your site, and introduce new readers to your work. But it doesn't work if our facilitators can't find your blog.

Thanks!

Blog Tour (A Little Late This Week)

We're still looking for a volunteer to manage our Tuesday (*ahem* okay, Saturday this week) Blog Tour. [*dangles point incentives in front of crowd of restless Brigaders*]

So continuing our Getting to Know You tour, here are links to members blogs that feature something of interest for SFR Brigaders.

Our first stop is Kaye Manro's blog where member Laurann Dohner talks about her April 16 release, Kissing Steel, second in the Cyborg Seduction Series from Ellora's Cave.  Laurann discusses her adventures as a writer and gives more information about the other titles in the Cyborg Seduction series.

Next up, we have Spacefreighters Lounge, where you're always welcome to drop into a hover chair and have yourself a Billins...  Donna S. Frelick always writes well thought-out and inspiring articles such as this week's Quest for Fire, about the search for ideas and muse fuel.

And what's this?  While perusing J. C. Hay's site, I stumble upon the announcement of the February release of Impulse Power from Samhain featuring romantic SF stories by three (count 'em three!) SFR Brigade members--Robert Appleton's The Mythmakers, Nathalie Gray's Metal Reign and J. C. Hay's Hearts and Minds.  (You all have been entirely too quiet about this project.)  I also understand a December release in paperback is in store.  Hmm...do I see a book tagging project in the near future?

Jody Wallace offers a Free Panther on her blog.  This is a very interesting concept in serializing stories via text to cell phones that you really should see.  It includes a link to the site. I'm intrigued!

Clare Dargin posts on a subject that's near and dear to my heart, and maybe the hearts of many SFR writers and any who dream of what's yet to be, The Manned U.S. Space Program is not Dead.

That's just a few of the goings on at your fellow Brigader's bases of operations.  But don't stop here.  When you have a few free minutes, check out the links to some of your fellow crewmember's site.  We've added a blog roll (still under construction) to the bottom of this site so you can scan some of the most recent posts and images. Go ahead and make the rounds. You never know where your voyage of discovery might take you.

See Donna's writing journey under About Me.

Ella Drake

Tuesday Tour

Part of the fun of being part of a community like SFR Brigade is getting to know your fellow members. I thought we'd kick off the first week with two sites, both full of great information.

Isabo Kelly
Published author, Prism Award winner and speaker.  Be sure to take note of her upcoming events, especially if you're in the New York area.  Be sure to sign up for her newsletter.

Rae Lori
A talented author and artist who has graciously volunteered to work on graphics for SFR Brigade.  Be sure to check out her podcast interview and media room.
