First of all, the
Brenda Novak Mentorship Writing Competition is a very exciting offering for writers. Enter this contest to win one-on-one mentorship time with the NYT best-selling author. There are a host of notable judges and the top three entrants also win a read by agent Laurie McClean. What a dream for SFR writers! And yes, Futuristic/SFR is a subgenre that's eligible to enter. I just received an affirmative on that in an email from Ms. Novak herself. Winners announced November 15th. At $50, this is one amazing opportunity and the same as or not much more than entering a major contest, with a whole lot more bennies (in addition to helping a worthy cause).
