Did you see it? We have a new title banner....and a new bottom banner. Er...that sounded bad. Tail banner? End banner? OK, help me out here...and just go take a look. :)
More fabulously futuristic and scintillating sci-fi artwork courtesy of Linnea Sinclair. :)
It's looking good!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if we might want to move to a 3 column set up at some point. Possibly with tabs for the pages along the top. The Base of Operations could be brought up that way. I'm not sure how many people will scroll all the way to the bottom if the posts don't go all the way down.
Good suggestions, Lianna. We should definitely look at that when we're ready to merge the blog with the web site -- once we have a web site.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, the "Bases of Operations" is just an experiment, since there was an unused full-width gadget bar at the bottom of the blog and my fingers were just twitching to find something to plug in there so it didn't go to waste. heh heh
looks good, me likey :)
ReplyDeletehow do I get a copy of that great banner to put on my site?
ReplyDeleteHi Larion, I responded to your question via email.
ReplyDeleteLove the banners and how inviting it makes the site. Thank you, Linnea.
ReplyDeleteI love the tag line Linnea came up with. I was thinking "Creating intelligent life on the bookshelves" or some spin on that might be a good motto condidate for the Brigade?
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I agree. And I vote for not changing a word.
ReplyDeleteI love the bottom banner! I like the top one too. But maybe a little different tag on the top one since some of us are writing ebooks and aren't on the bookshelves... yet!
ReplyDeleteI wondered that too, Kaye, but then I thought it'd be understood that online or in print, sci-fi rom brings intelligent life to the reader.
ReplyDeleteWell that's for sure, Arlene. I see what you mean. And too, if other SFRB authors are like me, their goal is to be in print on bookshelves as well as in ebooks!
ReplyDelete@Kaye--I'm on the cyber-bookshelves with my Bantam books... Since sites like Goodreads and Shelfari all refer to 'shelves' and yet all are cyber-space shelves... it can be a much broader interpretation. IMHO and IMHE. ;-) ~Linnea
ReplyDelete....and oh, there are more banners. One that matches the present bottom one, in fact. There are lots more banners. Once you kids decide on a theme, then you all can choose a final banner. Right now I'm just playing with a bunch of ideas. ~Linnea
